I am thrilled to get to develop a Ceramics department at the Institute where I have started working!

Hopefully tomorrow two Ceramic wheels will be delivered and the clay also. We are building tables and doing other things to get it set up. We are also having a Kiln built on the roof soon! We went to look for the simple hand tools and found them at a stationary store close to the center. We were driving away and I said “Wait, back up!” What I saw is a fancy pizza oven that is basically the same as a Ceramic Kiln. We stopped and chatted with the guy who made it and ordered it a few days ago. Below is a picture of the one we saw on the street. Pictures soon of the new one being built on our roof!
